Steven Steinman b. 1951

 

Steven Steinman was born in Los Angeles, CA, in 1951. He received a BA from California State University, Northridge, and then worked as a studio assistant for Ed Ruscha and Joe Goode in Los Angeles as well as Robert Rauschenberg in New York City. He has exhibited in the United States and Europe since the 1980s and his work is included in the permanent collections of the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, CA; LACMA, Los Angeles, CA; San Diego Museum of Art, CA; Harvard Art Museums, Cambridge, MA; Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven CT; National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C.; Albertina, Vienna, Austria; Kunsthaus Zurich, Switzerland; among others.
